American Airlines wanted an edgy look and feel to entice customer attention ahead of a blockbuster Black Friday sale event. My black background meets neon billboard solution was out of the box for a brand that usually errs softer and subdued, but paired with punchy, energized copy, the result was high open rates and click throughs during a notoriously competitive time on the ecommerce calendar.
